This is the entrance and we thought that this was great as it looked like a lovely forest.
Imagine our surprise when we saw this lovely sight called Echo Bridge(so when 2 dogs bark it sounds like 4!!!Imagine if it were the Thuglets!)
And then we saw THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!A lovely water fall. Archie said it made him have to pee.Next up..DEVILS DEN.......
You can see my brother looking at it with trepidation ,and he wanted to borrow PL1's cell phone to call Scruffy but I told him not to worry... Let's go this will be fun.....
OK so here is the bridge we had to cross...Check out my brothers face !! Me I'm happy as a clam.
OK Ok I am not all that bad( take notes Stanley on how to be a good sibling) and I gave Archie a little pep talk before we crossed over that bridge. This is PL1's movie(very Fellini -esque I might add) of our crossing with me in the lead( you may need dramamine)
AND THEN WE SAW ANOTHER BRIDGE which was HUMUNGO with a rickety fence and it sloped down and was WAY high up and we all said...OUTTA HERE..................
We decided that the 3 of us had had enough of water falls and bridges and DEVILS DENS and Archies nerves were frazzled so I thought a good squirrel hunt was in order.Archie was so frazzled by DEVILS DEN that he thought he needed to dig for the squirrel.I went along with it until I thought that someone might come along and see this( a terrier looking for a squirrel in a hole....how odd they might think) so I gently told him to look up the tree, which he did.(We can't get the movie on here showing this wo you will have to believe me!!)
If this is how Archie reacts to just going to Devils Den I am a little nervous about Salem!!!!!

Muzzer has what is know as a "delicate" stomach. Now I know that she and Dad went to Ted's for hot dogs when they left us to our kibble tonight.
She needs to lose weight anyway

Hi, friends
You went to a very beautiful place, even with that name! I was nervous looking at you crossing that bridge!
I hope Archie will be fine at the party!
Have a good night

Hey, Agatha!!
Archie actually looks like he's having a good roachin' session there at the end.
Loved the Devil's Den, the waterfall, and especially, your dad's camera work! Very MTV!
Goober love,

That's a beautiful looking place, but then not much scares an old timer like me. Apart from fireworks, I really hate them, have to have medication and everything.
Toodle pip,

oh my, that bridge was darn scary looking! I am not surprised Archie didn't like it much.
We go to a place just up the road from here called "The Devils Cauldron" )or Deil's Cauldron as we Scots call it. It too has lots of waterfalls and woods. Next time we go I will take some pictures.
My hoooomans went to the restaurant and wine bar at the foot of the Devils Cauldron on Sunday without me!

Hi A+A,
JH is a scaredy dog too -- you should hear him whimper when he encounters something new.
I think I'm a bit braver -- but we'll see when we get to the Halloween party.
Mom likes to visit old cemetaries with scarey skulls and cross bones on them and interesting details about the person who is buried there. She has a photo of a tombstone from the 18th century that she saw in Norfolk -- she'll post it for me soon.
Jake
Hey A&A, that was a pretty scary bridge that you had to cross. that was a really pretty place though.

Hey Guys...Scruff's still in jail, so it's just me commenting tonight. He said to tell you he's just getting bread and water, but I just saw he had called out for pizza...and pizza for a lot...has he invited dogs over tonight for poker?? Mumsie not going to be happy....
Cool place u went hiking! I tried to tell Scruffy about it, but as soon as I said the name, he put his paws over his ears. Wimpy wire...
Mumsie has to take ACLS recert on Monday, so it could be a lot of Mumsie tummy time for Lacie as she reads that fab book this weekend...oh wait, she's asleep already!
High altitude barks...Lacie
good thing y didn't fall off that bridge...
