National Training Month

SO as we all know Niamh is having a contest to go along with National Train your Dog month...Pl2 was off today and thought she would put it into practice( we hate it when she gets these ideas...) Our first training session( which really isn't new because we have been doing it for about 300 years but we go along with her)...is to sit in the back of the car.......

Then she says watch your heads.........( note which one of us is putting her head away from the door)

Oh we almost forget..this is new..Before we got into the car we went to cross the street..........Now she is trying to make us sit at the corner before we cross...We were also trying to look both ways before you cross but she said we didn't have to do that..Hay..you are the trainer here........ And lets just see how well this goes in the spring when the SQUIRRELS come out...hee hee....

We figured we would just look at her.....

Archie thought he would try it with one ear up...

And we ended up at at the North Pole..nooooo.. at the Arboretum!!!!

Here we are training to do the ididerod......

I really don't know what he is training for( I have some thoughts...)

In training to catch the undersnow varmints.....

HE WILL NOT STOP DOING IT BECAUSE SHE BROUGHT CHEESE......

Look at him........my brother.......

Our last one...We have been trained to wait at the front door before we come in...Why?? you may ask????just because we used to have a few a few"TIFFS" before we came in?? I mean IT WAS TIGHT QUARTERS THERE..and to be stuck there with him.......

Well that was our training day.......Who knows what we will do tomorrow! Archie wants to know if there is National Train your Pack Leader Month but I told him we don't need that as we have them wrapped around our paws...OH DID I SAY THAT OUT LOUD??????????????????????????

I am NOT sharing this idea with Muzzer. Who knows what evil plan she may hatch.

I think that wait at the door is a most difficult trick indeed. I still do not know how to do it.

I agree with Mango. Waiting at the door is not easy!

Thanks for posting about the contest! I think that you are doing a great job of practicing your sits and waits. And you look so smart while you are doing it.

WAS THAT MORE BEDS I spied you were sitting in...in the boot of your car???Haaaaaa!!! Amazing. Train PL2 to get rid of the clam shell next twinnie. And get you a lobster bed instead.

We are so impressed with your training, and how good you are. The very next batch of foster dogs will be sent to you direct.

Oh my...I got tired after watching all the sit/stay/watch me going on. I had to curl up for a wee nappy. SHE says I am perfectly trained as long as she has snackies in her hand. No snackies, no play. I must say, the ear up photo is darling. Paying such close atention to PL2 must have gotten him extra treaties.

I hope you had the next day off to catch up on yer zzzzzzz's.

Oh no I hope my Mom doesn't find out about this. If she does I am enforcing the 'you can't teach an old dog new tricks' rule.

I know how to wait at the door but will only do it for treats. Otherwise, why bother?

Aw yes....A+A....the 2 of ya are much better trained than we are....I tell ya we used ta go from the back seat ta the front seat 'n sit on Gram's lap....sometimes there was 2 of us on 'er lap at the same time......poor Gram.....I tell ya they foiled us cause they bought a net that separates the front from the back....'n now all we can do is put our snoot in the net and look longingly at the front seat lap that used ta be ours....

Wait at the door ???? No we just do what we want....that's probably why Gram wants ta drug us....all of us.....she just hasn't found the right drug yet....'n we're not gonna help 'er either.....

We like the wait at the door thing! Only we need to be trained to wait at the door before we go OUT! All 3 of us try to fit out the door at one time! Then, if someone opens the FRONT door, there are TWO of us who would really like to tour the neighborhood! It tends to give our mom a heart attack...not to mention what it does to anyone who might ring our doorbell. Heeheehee! You should see their faces!
