Catching Up

This what PL2 feels like. She just worked four 12 hour shifts at the hospital in a row..She has no one to blame but herself because she goofed up making out her time... She
will never ever do that again she said. She also said that she hopes the feeling returns in her feet and legs .We told her we will help her do the time for the next time plan so this won't happen again......We thought we would tell you about our adventure from last week when we had new windows put in. We are all just getting over it and returning to normal(if that is possible..the normal part we mean...) Pl1 and 2 had had the front of the house done awhile ago and now it was time to do the back...WHOA Check this out!!!!! I'll say it was time!! Why didn't it rain in the house??? Pl2 did say that when it snowed or when there was rain her hair would blow it was so windy!!!! How did the window even stay in!!! And to PL2's delight THEY FOUND CARPENTER ANTS EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW( We picked one of the better looking ones...)

So they were replacing the windows in our room( well the bomb shelter room) as well and look at the mess.......

Archie and I were an unbelievable help to these guys.. Here we are checking out that the floor was OK( it was and the workers were thrilled they didn't have to check....)Wonder where that stain came from??
Now really we didn't think anything was wrong with the Windows.. Doesn't it look fine?????

Here is the new one..Looks the same to us( PL2 would like you to notice that the shades are IN the window..NO MORE DUSTING BLINDS..She is thrilled about this but we don't really know why.......
OH BOY DO YOU KNOW WHAT WAS HERE???ONLY MY BOMB SHELTER AND ALL OF MY I MEAN OUR TOYS.................

HERE IS MY BOMB SHELTER ALL ASKEW..............................................

DO YOU HAVE ANY,I MEAN ANY IDEA WHAT THIS IS????MY TOYS THAT I SPEND HOURS ARRANGING IN THERE....................
Suddenly it was all too much for me... I was overwhelmed...and even our non stop continuous barking for 8 to 10 hours a day for three days wasn't even enough ...I needed to take refuge...BUT EVEN MY ALTERNATIVE REFUGE WAS GOOFED UP...............Archie was distraught also..............

I tried this...going behind what should be but isn't my bomb shelter........

YOU CAN NOT ARRANGE YOUR TOYS HERE....I CAN"T EVEN REACH MY TOYS.........
We were on Rescue Remedy drips. We had marrow bones. We were even allowed to eat chewies One day PL2 took us out at 9 am.We went to 2 dog stores( that took 2 hours and a lot of money later) We went to the Arboretum(PL2 was really proud of herself because she went alone but as we were sitting there FOR 3 1/2 HOURS and she was reading and there was no one around she heard alot of rustling, and we were OOT(out of there) So that day we only barked for about 4 hours.......Well here it is starting to get back to normal....
And here we are looking out of the new windows...(we have to admit they are a lot cleaner) And all is back to normal....PL2 is going to take us to Jamaca Pond because she is sick of all the dust and doesn't feel like cleaning anymore......YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We will let you know how much warmer it is when it gets cold.........

Ooo, I don't like it when the Js mess with my stuff either. I hope you've re-arranged your bomb shelter now, Aggie. Did you get some new toys in compensation for the inconvenience caused to you by the PLs? J x

You poor little things. The trauma y'all have been through is just cruel. Especially when your bomb shelter was totally dismantld and all your provisions were bagged up! I don't know how in the world you all stood it! If that ever happens again, tell them you require a vacation in Texas, and you can come to our house. You can even make a bomb shelter in the spare bedroom. We're sooo glad things have returnd to normal and hope the bomb shlter is properly restocked!

To PL2. Momma feels your pain. 4 12's are not fun. I once worked at a sweatshop-I mean hopital-with mandatory overtime. Every other week was 4 12s. The other week 3 12s. We did not get to do our own scheduling-the powers that be did that. So, don't worry, the feeling in your legs and feet will return. Eventually ;) Oh, and that throbbing on the soles of your feet? They'll kinda go numbish, then return to normal. I totally understand the first picture!

Hugs

omdog talk about TRAUMA, I don't know how I would even handle that. A stain would definitely be in order. Have you got everything back in the bomb shelter and in its proper place?

Did the PL's ask your permission before changing out the window? If not...that's crap, and they owe you big!

Perhaps they should send you out of town next time when repaits are being made...like to your own island of toys!

Slurp!

Hi, Agatha and Archie!
PL2 must be very tired! Those shifts don't sound fun.
I was worried your bomb shell had disappeared! Glad it is back and you two are enjoying it!

Poor PL2!
How about cutting your food and toy supplies to support her? Just kidding!
Cheers!

When strangers come into your home to fix things, I highly recommend you help yourself to their tools when they're not looking. They make some pretty sweet chewies.

Hmmm...so no feelin' to ur feet?? Mumsie suggests standin' on ur head...and ice; definitely ice!

Ahh...new windows...Agatha...ur bomb shelter is a MESS! I can't believe ya didn't bite somebody!

Um...Aggie...I know my nails are long..but frankly I'm sick of lookin' like a frump. Long dresses, no perfume, only stud earrings, and ALL OF THAT STARCH! I burned myself twice ironin' my uniform last night. I've started ironin' it when I'm wearin' it...it's a lot faster. Snickers is allowed to do a lot harder stuff than you let me...(Lacie whines and cries in a grating irritating voice that makes ya want to encourage her to escape the electric fence..)

And tomorrow, I don't think I'm gonna pin my fur up...Jackson doesn't think I have any fur at this point...it's always up in a bun...

Rebellious nursing student barks,
Lacie

Pee ess...how come you and Asta get to use the preprinted care plans and I have to write out 20 pages???

hi A&A, that was quite disruptive, getting those windows done. we hope it is all worth it this winter when you are warm and your PL2 doesn't have to pay expensive heat bills. then she can take you to the dog stores and buy you more stuff!

those blinds inside the windows sounds so extremely cool. now our mom is getting ideas.... uh oh.

we hope that your bomb shelter got put back together the right way and your toys survived this ordeal. you should probably spread them out all over the floor and check each one individually.

woofs.

The new windows look great, but they appear to be missing something (nose marks). I can't believe that your stuff got all messed with. How could you stand it?

I trust that everything was returned to its proper place and order restored.

Carpenter ants are really icky. Hope your PL's got the bug people in.

Oh Agatha and Archie

Your poor Mum having to work those exceedingly long hours to keep you in toys, treats, marrow bones and posh new windows for you in the winter.

You will certainly have cosy paws when it becomes cold.

The new windows look great! We're sure they'll keep you much warmer when the winter winds howl!
Our hoomans are getting prepared to refinish the kitchen floor so like you guys, things are going to get nutty at our house soon too! Where will we eat?!

Love ya lots,

The windows look very nice but all this home improvement stuff is vastly over-rated. I am sure all the confusion with your stuff was very annoying. We had the plumber in a few weeks ago and it was very stressful.

The new windows looks lovely, but you need to wear them in a bit with some nose pokes. And I'm sure your barking really helped the job get done a LOT quicker but I didn't notice the PL's praise you for your help or give you extra treats n stuff. Can't understand why not.

Hope PL2 has recovered from all her very hard work and you all had fun at the pond?

You two must be exhausted! I feel the same way after supervising all the painting that's been going on over here. NOw I have to supervise mom prepping her classes. It's just exhausting.

Carpenter ants? What are those creatures? Do they renovate houses or destroy? It kinda looks like they did some destruction there to your windows. Yikes!

Hi, Agatha and Archie -

Carpenter ants YIKES! We get them here because we have a "bomb shelter" under our kitchen and the ants come in from there. They are a royal pain. We just use the ant traps - they seem to work well.

Love -

Yeah, we had a sliding glass door like that once. Our weeping fig tree kept blowing in the wind, and it was INSIDE the house. Now we have French doors and they are terrific, but we did hate the workers and dust and noise and mess, etc. Glad things are back to normal for all of you! And you looked ever so helpful in those photos, I'll bet the workers wished they had you with them all the time.

Happy Tails,
William Tell
