A Canadian Visitor and the Witness Protection Program

So last week we had a very very important visitor .........the one and only MS SOPHIE LA BRADOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well you can just imagine Archie Toffee and Riley and I preparing for this visit!! We all decided that we absolutely had to go to.....THE ARBORETUM!!!!!!!! So we went to pick her up( oh and her PL of course) Now just a quick "of note" Of course we all know that
Joey......
is Sophie's one and only true love and Archie didn't want Joey to get jealous or anything so Archie told Joey that he would act as Sophie's personal body guard to make sure that NOTHING would happen to her....

Here we are at her hotel(her name was at the front door and it was on the front page of the Boston Globe and stuff)...Archie is telling her(secretly of course) that he will be her undercover body guard while she was in town....

Hee Hee here I am saying hello to Toffee and Riley's PL ..You can't even see my tail it is going so fast....

Archie was sticking to her like glue(he has great work ethic)

And off we all went..It was a beautiful day and the best day we have had yet this spring( Archie said he asked for it for her but he is taking this just a little to far don't ya think?)

HERE WE ARE!!!!!! So we were just standing there telling her all about the place.....

Sophie loves this place!! She has been here before but never in such lovely weather!!!!

SO I really figured that maybe I should show her all the good digging spots.... but she is kind of into her ball..I mean REALLY into it....

Then we decided to go for a little swim....and Sophie took her ball in with her..I tried to tell her maybe she shouldn't but come on she IS Ms La Brador........

SHE LOST HER BALL.....IN THE STREAM.....OMG........ I was trying to see if I could pat it out

Everyone left to continue the walk but I stayed on a bit to search for it... Oh the humiliation to have her lose her ball IN OUR ARBORETUM.......

OK so we kept on walking and went up to the top of this little hill(where you can see for miles and miles.....)We were having a little snack and stuff and just talking.........this is where the action kind of begins..... See Toffee and Riley were showing us their new vaudeville act...First you ask Riley if he is kookoo for Coco puffs and then you ask him for his paw....... Now Riley takes this very very seriously and REALLY REALLY wanted to impress Sophie..so he was really really concentrating....And Sophie's Pl went a little close for an action shot....Archie and I were still having a little snack.. and we heard a lititle growl...well it was Riley telling Sophie's PL not to get so close when he was performing because he gets a little anxious....




So Sophie went to go back and sit down and then Sophie's Pl saw........BLOOD....YOUARE READING THIS RIGHT....BLOOD on Sophie's back........ Archie jumped up and spun around....... We couldn't find out where it was from.UNTIL WE LOOKED AT THE HER EAR.......RILEY GOT HER ON THE EAR..................ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? FIRST WE LOSE HER BALL AND THEN WE BITE HER EAR??????

WHY IS THERE ALWAYS ONE IN EVERY CROWD?? AND WHY IS IT ALWAYS ONE OF US TERRIERS??????(hee hee what a reputation...) BUT LOOK AT RILEY....HE IS SORT OF LAUGHING.......( actually don't tell Sophie this but it was a stealth bomb terrier performance ..one at a very very high terrier level....spring, attack, no one knows ,not even the victim,and then look surprised....I gotta say it was pretty good but just not for our important visitor)

Now my brother thinking only of himself of course quickly turned to PL...."PL ya gotta help me buddy...I was supposed to be her bodyguard......."

As for Riley??

Archie got him into the witness protection program because we are all afraid that Joey might be a little mad......

And Archie????I think his body guard days are done...

PL2 has a favor..She has been trying to change our header picture and every picture she tries comes out GINORMOUS..which it never has done before.....Any thoughts as to why it is doing this????

The Bomb Shelter Update and a S

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????? WE HAVE NOT POSTED IN TWO WEEKS???? Which also means we are a MILLION LIGHT YEARS BEHIND IN OUR READING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO do that we will( catch up on your lives) and we will quickly catch you up on ours....... SO it rained and rained and rained and rained..and we were a teensy weensy bit bored( imagine two wire fox terriers SHUT IN....oooohhh it was not pretty...but the first non rain day we had we went for a 34 hour walk( PL2 said it was to burn off a little energy or something....)And we don't really know why she kept cleaning the floor all the time..something about mud and stuff...So I took to heart all that you my friends had to say about sharing my bomb shelter....I thought and thought and thought... and came up with this ( very very temporary ) solution........

ARE YOU HAPPY???????????? But please note in the next picture that there happens to be someones toy in there and my bed is kind of half way back in there...hee heee he will never figure this out......

Now on to another serious matter..You may remember I worked extremely hard last year with my own personal trainer/brother to obtain my J.E.( Junior Eathdog) title.....Whew it was HARD WORK and he is a very difficult trainer...

So PL2 and I had a little talk and she asked me if I wanted to try to get MY SENIOR EARTHDOG TITLE!!!! Only this was is ALOT harder...You have to go through a longer tunnel with more curves in it and a false spot and the hardest part of all is that you have to come out by your self( your PL doesn't pick you up out of the tunnel) Now I don't know about you but I an not the best with recall without a rat there...put a rat into the situation??? hmmmmmmmm.... let's think about this.. But PL2 said we could get some training and maybe learn how to do this..... I went to the Fox Terrier Network.com page and got this picture..That is the rat in the cage at the end if the tunnel............

Now this has put Arch into a tizzy and he has to change his whole training program..... PL2 happened to find this little pad of paper that he had been jotting notes on and then ripped up in frustration

AND THEN I FOUND THIS ON THE FOX TERRIER WEBSITE......ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? THIS IS FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOOOOOO BOY!!! WE ARE GOING TO GET A RAT FOR THE HOUSE FOR ME TO PRACTICE WITH!!!!!!( PL2 here.... uhhhmmmm I don't think so Aggie.....)

And so ladies and gentle men,I begin a new summer and new EXTREMELY difficult challenge with my brother at my side and my PL's behind me( wait maybe it should be the other way around....) in the obtainment of my..........

So while he figures out my training plan I will just soak up the glorious rays.......

The Old Bomb Shelter

Hi everyone.Many of you have been wondering what is going on with my bomb shelter so I thought I had better update you.

Here is a picture of my ex bomb shelter...A wonderful place with THOUSANDS of MY toys and a lovely bed where I could go BY MYSELF and relax, and a GREAT place for girl parties( Lacie once had 33 blenders going at the same time....HOO boy that was good...And there was one rule really NO BOYS WERE ALLOWED THERE... Doesn't it look fabulous??

A while ago I had even gone on a little campaign.......( doesn't my hair look good here? I will have to go back to that hairdresser)

Here is my brother....Now for a while he obeyed me..I mean he wouldn't go in there.. Then a little something happened that started him thinking......

When flat Mango came over last year with all my other friends Mango BEGGED me to go in my bomb shelter.....Really when Mango speaks YOU LISTEN.. so I sort of invited him there( but of course I told EVERYONE this was a special case...) And really he only left a little drool and stuff in there...

And Archie would not let this go..He pouted and cried and said YOU LET HIM IN THERE.. and stuff like WHERE THE HECK ARE MY TOYS YOU HAVE THEM ALL and stuff like WHAT THE HECK DO I HAVE and WHERE CAN I GO TO RELAX and blah blah blah blah blah....Then things started to heat up a little,..HE STARTED TO GO IN THERE..oh no no no no no.......DO YOU THINK I TOOK THIS LYING DOWN??? Fur was flying,lips were snarling, barks were barking, TOYS WERE FLYING ALL OVER THE PLACE..So first PL2 locked us out..LOCKED US I REPEAT US out..ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? THAT IS MY HALLOWED PLACE....OK that worked for awhile..lips weren't snarling..until they would forget to lock the door.....WOO BOY.. ladies and gentleman LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE..OK so they realized this wouldn't work...Then she came up with one of the dumber ideas in her life( excuse me for being a little blunt) She thought she could block the entrances with 400 boxes and the ironing board..Even Cyril got into this.......And no matter what she put there Archie would find a way to squeeze in...and then so would I and then the WWF( world wrestling federation) would start UNDER THE BED......( they do not call us girl dogs bitches for nothing....)

Sooooooooo she came up with this.......SHE TOOK EVERYTHING OUT OF THE BOMB SHELTER AND OPENED THE TOP UP.....My toys are out and so is my bed.......And now Archie still goes under there once in awhile but it only bothers me once in awhile ( what you thought I would tell you all is peaches and cream?? IT WAS MINE ALL MINE YOU KNOW....)

And she pulled out my bed and this is how it sometimes goes.....( don't look at our hair.... It is stripping and grooming time in house of A+A)

Yeah don't worry.. You won't be seeing a lot of this.....He snuck up on me and I didn't smell I mean see that he was there..Well I have been thinking about the whole thing and maybe I was a little harsh and stuff..I mean I did have ALOT of the toys and stuff.....

And I still have the top...... in the sun....



And it gives me GREAT Access to try to get to the top of the bookcase where she throws toys sometimes.....


don't worry friends...this is not the end of my bomb shelter.....

HE IS AT IT AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So PL2 is learning to knit....She learned a few years ago when she wrecked her calf and had to stay home for 4 months on crutches in the winter, but all she learned how to do was scarves....So she thought she would expand her horizons....She has a friend at work who is a top notch knitter who is her mentor. She gave PL2 this pattern because she said when PL2 takes US out she can throw it on and keep her neck warm!! AND you have to do it on circular needles which PL2 has never done.....

So we went to the knitting store and bought this color(see my nose? I am approving the color) and we bought circular needles (WHICH WERE A LITTLE PRICEY) remember that, it is important to remember later on in this story.....

Look...isn't she doing a nice job??? SO she and PL1 went some where the other day and all PL2 wanted to do was come home and do her knitting......

So she went to go get it( this is a reenactment because it happened in the living room on the couch.. and not for anything but after all this time shouldn't PL2 know better?? Just a question that I can not believe I said out loud...)(Oh and Moma this is not a real quilt but a fake one..) Hmmmm she said I think I have lost the little green tip that covers the end of the needle.I only see one........ and she picked it up.......

JACK POT!! HE CAN NOT DENY THIS BECAUSE THERE IS THE EVIDENCE!! I WATCH A LOT OF TV AND THEY CAN DO TEETH ANALYSIS!!!!!! ON THE MONEY!!!! HOOOOOO BOY ARE YOU IN TROUBLE(i had NOTHING to do with this......)

And if that were not enough LOOK AT HIM!!! THOSE ARE HIS FEET!!! RIGHT NEXT TO THE KNITTING!!!

LOOK AT HIM!! HE IS TRYING TO THINK OF A WAY TO GET OF THIS!!! GO AHEAD LET'S HEAR THIS ONE!!!!!!!(You could kind of hear a LOT of HBO words now from PL2 mostly because she really wanted to just sit and knit....)

haa haa I ah thought it was my knitting???

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!! THAT IS ALL YOU CAN COME UP WITH????? (I am attempting to remove the evidence here because every time PL2 sees it she lets a little HBO word slip out.. and of course I would NEVER EVER do something like that.......

does anyone know how accurate that teeth analysis evidence stuff really is?? just asking....

WELLLLLLLL.....imagine our surprise....As you know my brother developed a bit of an allergy to grains which TOTALLY changed the kinds of treats we could have( I don't really get why I have to change my eating ways but PL2 said it was easier for her...geesh...it is ALWAYS about her......) so she searched and searched for grain free treats and was having a bit of a hard time.Then she was reading Dog Fancy magazine one day and heard about these cool people in Oregon who had the same problem with their puppies and decided to make their own cookies( PL2 did try that for awhile but she said it was taking over her life whatever that means.....) So we tried some and LOVED them...So we have started to get them on a regular basis...They are called Stam treats( this is a combination of the names of their two puppies) They come in a few different flavors( our favorite is peanut butter )Here is one of our shipments......

Why is that one bag on the top of MY bed which used to be over my bomb shelter which is a WHOLE different story which I will tell you about later....)
Take a closer look...............OMG IT IS US!!! ON THE BAG!!! WE ARE FAMOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? CALL MY AGENT!!!!HOW DID THIS HAPPEN??? DOES MY HAIR LOOK GOOD????

I HAD to go in closer to check this out!! PL2 said that if you send them a picture of your dog they will put it on the bag!!! She is not sure if it is then used on everyones bag or if it just for your order! We ordered 8 bags( yep we REALLY like them) and we were only on two of them.....

I am not sure but I think this may have gone a little to Archie's head..He is talking about Oprah and the evening news and hold all his calls and tell them I am busy right now.....and stuff like that.......
And one more thing to quickly tell you..PL2 got a MangoMinster cup....(I am sort of borrowing it here) and says it is so wonderful!! It keeps stuff really hot and really cold.She said the only thing is everyone at work this weekend was asking her what Mangominster was! She would get all excited telling them about it and then they sort of looked at her a little funny....Humans they just don't get it...

What I don't get to keep it?

I will fill you all in the continuing saga of my bomb shelter........I also have started my training......( I know it is a little early but the Olympics have inspired me......) We are going to try to catch up with all of you the next two days!!! MUAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PITCHERS AND CATCHERS GETTING READY!!!

You Can not believe it!! In 2 days the pitchers and catchers for the RED SOX are going down to FLORIDA!!!!!!!!! DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS????

IT IS ALMOST TIME FOR BASEBALL AND WITH THAT COMES GOOD WEATHER AND HOT DOGS AND STUFF!!!!! YOU CAN NOT BE SAD WHEN PITCHERS AND CATCHERS GO TO FLORIDA!!!!

Hapy Valentines Day everyone..It has been a very very sad week for all of us at in the DWB community and many of our dearest friends have really had wonderfull tributes for those who have gone over to the Bridge.. We would like to say that for a whole group of people who communicate through our dogs we are a very large and tight pack...and we love all of you.....So Happy Valentines Day everyone..... You all mean a lot to us.......Aggie and Arch and PL1+2

Hmmmmppphhhhh..........My brother

Well I am SO HAPPY everyone was SO worried about my brother....Where is he???Where IS HE YOU ASK?????? Well AFTER STEALING PL2's BOX OF KLEENEX FROM THE ONE SOFA THAT WE ARE NOT ALLOWED ON AND THEN STEALING PL1's LITTLE NOTE PAD THAT HAD SOME VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE ON IT FROM THE TABLE he had NO ROOM in his bed.....AND THIS IS WHAT HE WAS DOING.......

You may be wondering what is happening with my bomb shelter.I have decided to find another one as I fear mine is becoming contaminated by my brother's entrances...Here I am checking out under this bed and playing with my food dispenser game.For some reason PL2 was not real pleased about that....

Then in this video you can see that I indeed liked this bomb shelter and OF COURSE had to pee on the floor to let my BROTHER know it was mine( Like that does any good)

As for my old bomb shelter ? Yep it is still blocked off....ONLY NOW SHE ADDED THE STUPID IRONING BOARD......in front of the boxes because HE was knocking over the boxes AND SQUEEZING IN THERE.....and I have NOT been able to get in there and clean and arrange MY stuffies the way they like to be arranged and....WHAT THE #$%^%#$.......WHAT IS ON TOP OF THE BED???

YOU HAVE GOT TO KIDDING ME??? CYRIL THE WHEELIE IS IN ON THIS????

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.......

One more thing..We got to go to Jamaica Pond today YEAH we haven't been their since the fall.It was 40 degrees out and just lovely. Tomorrow it is going to snow( sshhhh we are not telling him yet) While we were there Archie sort of fell in love with a little Westie girl and a little mini poodle girl named Sophie( He thought it was THE SOPHIE but I told "WHAT DO YOU THINK SHE SHRUNK????" The best part was they were serving hors derv's.....these little horse manure things....I ate one and spat it out( not to my liking) Archie started to eat one until Pl2 caught on and PL2 just shook her head........All in the day of the life of two little foxies....
