Happy New Year from Boston

And so dearest pals a year ends and another begins. We remember all of our pals who have crossed the bridge and know they are playing all together. It has been a difficult year for many reasons and we hope that the new year brings all of you love, hope, health, happiness and peace(and Archie says a couple of extra treats and cookies maybe) We are proud to be part of such a wonderful community of people all brought together by the love of their animals. We leave you with this picture of a beloved statute in our wonderful city of Boston of Robert Burns and his beloved collie dog Luath(.Bertie we KNOW you know him)He is a Scotsman who wrote the poem which became a famous song........

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
AGATHA AND ARCHIE AND PL1+2
We promise lots more adventures for the new year!
Auld Lang Syne New Year poem by Robert Burns

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,

And never brought to mind?

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,

And auld lang syne?

For auld lang syne, my dear,

For auld lang syne,

We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,

For auld lang syne.

And surely ye'll be your pint-stowp,

And surely I'll be mine!

And we'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,

For auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,

For auld lang syne,

We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,

For auld lang syne.

We twa hae run about the braes,

And pu'd the gowans fine;

But we've wandered mony a weary fit

Sin' auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,

For auld lang syne,

We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,

For auld lang syne.

We twa hae paidled i' the burn,

Frae morning sun till dine;

But seas between us braid hae roared

Sin' auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,

For auld lang syne,

We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,

For auld lang syne.

And there's a hand, my trusty fiere,

And gie's a hand o' thine!

And we'll tak a right guid-willie waught

For auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,

For auld lang syne,

We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,

For auld lang syne.

We dragged Moma to the 'puter so we could AT LEAST stop by and wish you a Happy New Year. (What a lame comment. We oughta be able to do more ... but mostly we're running water to Gramma. You've taught us some GREAT nursing skills.)

We wish you the best of the best in 2011.

Much love
Nurses Jake and Fergi

Hi Agatha and Archie, so sorry I have not commented earlier on your very splendid post - we have been busy travelling to see family etc. Of course we are great admirers of the Scottish bard in this household, and are thrilled to see that he has such a wonderful statue all the way over the Pond in Boston.
Happy New Year!
