HE IS IN A HEAP OF TROUBLE

HOOO BOY........... Now many of you know that we can be  a bit naughty.... but one of us is naughtier than the other.. and his name begins with an A and the next letters are RCHIE....Remember how he ate PL2's knitting project? and the bag of brown sugar?all over the kitchen?) and the GUM? and the bag of recycling which he spread all over the kitchen? really I could go ON AND ON... well this time he went over board....AND CROSSED THE LINE.....Sit back and I will give you an reenactment of what occurred at house of A+A

It was a lovely New England fall day( I am doing a reenactment so I thought I would just put on one or two trees..)

It was 6 am and PL1 was taking us out( listen it is supposed to be dark here... REALLY dark so use your imagination...After we did our business Pl1 went and put it in the "honey pot"(that is what we call it..hee hee)The honey pot is in our little garage at the back of the building....

Hee hee I am trying to really make it life like...Now notice how he has the TWO leashes...... this is important to the reenactment...
He walked down the driveway to the front door.....
I always go to the top of the inside stairs and then Archie goes(he kind of has to wind himself up to do the stairs )

This is where he winds himself up

The he puts his feet on the top steps(this is a trick he learned in puppy kindergarten and he still feels inclined to do this.. listen it's Archie...) and they carry him up the steps because he can't do a lot of steps cuz of his back....... only something was very very different.. When I got to the to of the vestibule steps Pl turned around and NO ARCHIE.... Now sometimes he is a little slow and he is outside the front door which is what PL1 thought... so he opened the front door.... AND NO ARCHIE.....ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Now PL1 is flipping out and goes flying out the front door and goes down the drive way to the honey pot...NO ARCHIE............PL1 realized the leash must have dropped....
This is the alley behind our building........... Below is a real life video REENACMENT of what we think happened(while you are watching visually remove Pl1 from the movie...)HE RAN DOWN THE BACK ALLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BY HIMSELF......WITHOUT US..... IN THE DARK......TO THE BIG STREET WHERE THERE ARE CARS AND THEN THE BIGGER STREET WHERE THERE IS THE TROLLEY..PL1 WAS HYPERVENTILATING

..Now Pl1 and I were running EVERYWHERE and PL1 was shouting AGATHA FIND ARCHIE WHERE IS HE????? I WAS TRYING BUT I DIN'T KNOW..so I said PL GET THE CAR GET THE CAR,, So we ran up the stairs and got the keys and ran down the stairs and started to drive around....I was shouting out the window WHERE ARE YOU ????? and I told Pl to go where we usually walk in the morning.. so we went down this street.....
And we thought we saw something white.. AND THERE HE WAS!! HIS LEASH WAS UNDER THIS ROCK and he was sitting  with his ears back and I think he might have cried a little because he said he was really scared AND HE CAN NOT DO ANYTHING WITHOUT THE THREE OF US THERE......(how did his leash get under that rock??)NOW PL2 was not home because she was on the trolley on her way to work ... and she did not know about this until we picked her up at work and when we got to the part where he was sitting with his ears back SHE BURST INTO TEARS and Pl1 said HOW DO YOU THINK I FELT?? So below is NOT a reenactment but what really happened when I told him THAT HE MUST NEVER EVER DO THAT AGAIN EVER.....

Yes, you scared me too! Archie...we must have a talk. I have seen my Parental Unit hyperventilating from worrying about me, and it's not a pretty sight!!!

So glad to hear all is fine (have your Pl's recuperated yet?) and that Agatha gave you a "what for"!

Hey Archie, great adventure! Such a fuss these humans make.

PS from Gail: sorry, I am trying to teach Bertie a sense of responsibility, but it's an uphill struggle...

OMG! That was a scary story. I was so worried that he would run onto that road with the trolly cars. PL1 must have been beside himself. I am glad his old heart could stand the excitement.

Archie! DO NOT ever do that again! There is nothing you need out there. I am glad Agatha gave you a talkin to when you got back home.

Now, enjoy the weekend.

That is a TEKA TRICK!

And we all know how much she likes to live on the edge.

Good grief Archie! You have really done it this time. Scarier than any horror movie that is for sure. We are glad that you are safe with Agatha and your PLs and that none of them have had a nervous breakdown.

No more adventures Archie-we can't take the stress.

Your friends,
Niamh & Ambrose

Dude,

Don't ever do that again! I've done something similar TWICE right after we got Pippen and of course Pip followed me and mom was BESIDE herself! She didn't speak to me for a couple of days and didn't even give me any cookies! I felt horrible knowing how worried I made mom...

Running away is so not worth it... just remember - cookies and a warm bed are way better than a solitary adventure!

The first time Mom read this yesterday, she was so distraught (a frequent condition) that she couldn't even comment. I (JH) have had a few fugues of my own -- and she remembers those awful heart-sinking fearing the worst moments.

Archie -- thank doG you have a clever family that was able to search and find you.

I know we're terriers with insatiable curiosity -- but COOL IT BOYCHIK!!!!

Wirey love,

Just Harry

I know you are cracker but that is a major no no. I mean what happens if you went past the 495 barrier. No one would ever find you out in the wild west. Next time you take a cell with you and call me if you need to get away from home for awhile. We can walk the arboretum again. Jeepers you gave us a heart attack.

OK...sorry we snored off in the middle of watchin' the Steelers/Pats game with ya...Aggie...do you know where the rest of the spinach dip went? And the fig newtons?

Oh, Man...Archie wasn't dippin' them in it was he?

So after Jeff Reed missed that 35inch kick, we gave up...

OH...we got one of those cool dog puzzles today...the Brick? Or something...you hafta slide the dog bones back and forth?? And pick up the other thingies...??

Um...Scruffy got to it first...and guarded it...Stan hid behind Mumsie and I YAPPED AND YAPPED...

Scruffy went totally crackerdog...(he is like sooooooooo stoopid)...he kept trying to DIG the slidie things...

Then Mumsie picked up his paw and tried to show him how to knock them off or slide them...he um SANK his teeth into that soft fleshy part of her thumb...she screamed so loudly that Stan stood on his hindlegs and wrapped his paws around her neck from behind...I YAPPED AND YAPPED...

Someday that Scruffy is gonna be tossed offa cliff, I'm just sayin'....

He never did figure it out...she dumped the food on the floor and hid it...

Kisses,
Lac
