A wintery walk in our favorite place

So we thought we would try it again... a walk in our Arboretum but NOT Peters Hill( our walk on the ice) but the other part of our Arboretum..... so we all hopped into the car....

Look you can barely recognize it all covered in snow.....

Check this out... NO ICE!!!!!!!

OK now that I have that all covered I can check out the sites........

Here's Archie demonstrating his new manners.... BRRRR alittle cold on the old tush isn't it???!!!! I say manners shmanners....

And here he is leaving alittle pee mail.....

Look this guy is cross country skiing!!!!!!

Sooooo pretty.......

OMG you can not believe what I found!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GRASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!( not enough to roach in though..)

Guess what this is?? Lilac Hill!! Remember we told you about Lilac Sunday when all these lilacs are in bloom and it smells FABULOUS!! (Arch was working on smell o vision but I am not sure what happened with that)

Look I think he is looking very handsome here.........

And this is why...There was a cute little poodle in a very stylish coat that he was trying to impress. His owner sort of walked around us as growling at her was not really a good pick up line....

He is still looking at that poodle......
THEN , EVEN THOUGH IT WAS COVERED WITH SNOW WE CAME ACROSS THIS......

Oh yeah, snow or now snow I still got it......... DIG AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now this is the sign of a happy kid.............

Arch is practicing some pick up lines....

Twinny and Step! Woo...no ice!! But sad you don't have big snow balls either? Is that what you were digging for?? Your snow does look very pretty, like you Twinny, and Archie well, he looks pretty darn handsome. Did the poodle fall for your cute boy look when you were trotting along there so nicely on your colar and lead? COLLAR and LEAD...????!!!! Um where are the nosey harnessesss the PL's got from that behaviour leggeded? Course it might not have been a poodle could be wiry cover with those magnetic snowballs. Jeepers. They are HEAVY little limpits. No wonder you are fed up with them.

you two look so happy in your wonderful arboretum. duh, it's a great place. what dog wouldn't be happy there?

maybe we need to tell Archie how to pick up poodles. we can tell him what kinds of things poodles like to hear and what are poodle turn-offs. the only catch it that we have never been friends with a girl poodle, so we may or may not know what we are barking about.

woofs.

Oh...I just read the rest of these horrid comments...Gussie and the 4 B's are actually giving you pointers on how to pick up a poodle?? (Well, I guess I wouldn't expect them to be giving you poodles on pickin' up pointers...heh heh heh...)

Lacie tosses herself to the floor again....

Ags! Your Arboretum is looking an awful lot like my Montreal. Mom may have to rethink this whole moving to Boston idea after all. Glad to see Archie is out there flirting. Always a good sign.

Archie, I wouldn't worry too much about Lacie - read her post on my bloggie.

Mommy used to take the train from Haymarket all the way out to the Arbouretum to cross-country ski. She thought it was very cool that she could take the subway to go skiing!

But that was probably back in the days of the Revolutionary War. She's old.

Have lots of fun in that gorgeous snow!

Your pal,

Petey

yeah! I am glad you got out and enjoyed the snow! I might have to nominate archie for the best digger award. I don't think archie's ready for the dating game though.

WE have not been down to the arboretum yet. When do the lilacs come up?

That looks like a very fun, if slightly chilly, walk!
Here's Swede William's pickup line:
"Would you like to kill a stoopid city squirrellie and eat its head with me?"
Sure worked with Teka!

Looks like a fun time at the Arboretum! Did you mom go to her favorite place on her b-day? (I think it was the JFK library, right?)
