MAY 10th IT IS OFFICIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are not a terrier you may not know what this is.........For us terriers this is the greatest thing on earth, what we were made for...this is not for the weak hearted......it is the tunnel in an EARTHDOG TRIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And at the end of that tunnel ,is...............

Only one of our greatest arch enemies in the world........and...I just found out that I Agatha the great safari hunter, urban huntress, skunk catcher and defender of the free world HAVE BEEN ENTERED IN AN EARTHDOG TRIAL ON MAY 10Th!!!!!! This year I am going to try the entry level AND THE JUNIOR LEVEL!!!!! Now last Friday PL2 asked Archies chiropractor if she thought Archie's back was ready to do the tunnel, and she said that although Arch is doing fabulously she didn't want to risk anything especially as he has come this far...so he is going to sit this one out.He is actually ok with this because he likes it but not LOVES it like I do.So...I am going to have to get ready and start practicing around the house(I will try to squeeze myself into very small places very very quietly so no one will know I am coming and then I will POUNCE out...........
This is me last year when I first met the rat(when I was just starting out in this profession)

After that(and ever since) I WANTED HIM BADLY.................

I have to go and start training for this event....................I will start by POUNCING on Archie as he is sleeping ..............

Brody killed a rat one time. it was pawsome. mom wasn't as thrilled as the rest of us, but it was definitely an event to remember. we hope you catch your rat too. you must post pictures of this event!

Wow, just looking at that makes me quiver with excitment, you get to chase a real live Mr Rat? Wish I was going with you Agatha. Make sure you post lots of photos so I can see what you do. I'm sure you should be in the senior class being the great brave huntress you are. I'll bark you on, listen for them over the big pee. Glad to hear Archies back is getting better.

Oh, you're so lucky, Agatha! I wish I could do earthdog. My girl even asked them and they said no, that irish terriers are too big. What a bummer! I just know I'd be good at it.

Archie I am glad that your back is better - will you be Agatha's coach? (kinda like how Rocky had his coach in the Rocky movie(s))?

Uh, you're going to go into the tunnel and kill a rat?

Maya and Kena said...

Hi Agatha and Archie!
Thanks fur the comments you left!
And the hunting was fun, but unluckily we didn't catch anything... :( They kept fooling us! When we were near them they would run up the tree and when we went away they'd come back down!! Those little cheaters!

Boy, that looks like fun!! How far do you have to go in the tunnel? The looks awfully small though. Maybe it's not fun after all. I like the part where you get to pounce and that you also get dirty. So, it probably is fun!!

Good luck in your training. Archie might not be very cooperative in letting you use him for pouncing practice.

Hehehe

Koobie

Sadly (and happily) it was time for the PetCab poster to come down as it was very wintery! Mom made a donation to M.A.L. so that she can take the poster home. We still drive by & admire the new poster - it is my mom's friend Gigi.
re: diarrhea - a lot of my friends (at least 8) have come down with either vomiting or diarrhea in the last week. Riley and I have been fine but we do not frequent the Arb. Someone postulated that it may be the Lime/lyme pellets that were put down but I don't know about that.

Toffee said...

...just be careful if you go to the Arb...some people think it's funny but it is really kind of runny...
