Goodbye Darling Mango

A very dear friend of ours has gone to the Bridge and we are in a true state of shock. His antics made us laugh and he was a dear friend. When he came to visit us(Flat Mango that is) he was the first and the ONLY boy that I ever ever let into my bomb shelter...... We know he is over the bridge dancing and playing and eating with all of our our other pals,in fact Bussie is showing his the ropes and Joey is flipping the cheeseburgers...It is those of us that are left behind that have the hardest task Pl2 told us to put this poem up and we think it is just right. It is a Navajo poem.....

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
Mary Elizabeth Frye
God Speed dear boy We will miss you Your little Boston pals

Ahem...do you perhaps mean "Bussie is flipping the burgers?"

Or do you know something I don't...Muzzer says she is not ready!

Dawling Agatha and Awchie.
I'm not suwpwised you got youw lettews mixed up "G" instead of "B". My Gussie, thank dog is hewe and vewy wel
Mango's sudden cwossing put all of us in a state of shock and disbelief. "How could he"? How could any of ouw deew fwiends. Mommi says "life is unfaiw". I think she has a point, but I know Mango is alive in ouw heawts and thoughts as awe all ouw beloved angels. The pwice of love seems much too high sometimes, but youw poem helps heal and make us wealize some magical things we don't undewstand

All we can do is hold each othew tight and make all those who came befowe us pwoud by living each day to it's bestest evew(Awchie, this might be the time fow a little moosic pleez)
Smoochie kisses
Fwom Adta who misses you mowe than I can say

We were in a state of shock this morning when we read about Mango's passing. Such a great guy and a relentlessly huge presence in the dog blogosphere.

A&A,
You have me crying all over again and missing my Bubba. That's OK. If I hadn't known the joy and love of having him, I could never feel this pain. That's just how it works.
