PIZZA AND PLS

Well we had a wonderful week!! Monday was the Boston Marathon And Toffee and Riley's Mom and Dad ran in it and PL2 went to cheer them on!! She made a BIG sign that had all of the terrier clan on it to root them on and she brought her camera to take a movie of Toffe's Mom coming in.....BUT(you knew there would be a but didn't you?!) PL2 got so excited when she saw her that she took a movie OF HER FOOT!! Geessshhhhh so we have no pics..... Good thing PL2 is not in the movie business..... SO yesterday we had a really action packed day.. We went for a fabulous adventure that lasted 3 hours...and PL2 wants to make an announcement to all of our terrier friends Pl's....We are still tired the day after...........WHOA!!!!(that was PL2 talking certainly not us...) So first they took us here.......

This was a lovely little( note I said little because they thought it was going to be much bigger) garden/walk. Of course the MINUTE I got there Archie said he found a good spot for me train....... here are the results....

Since this was such a little walk PL1+2 said lets go to this place.......

Actually we were not too sure why they called it this because we found the pond...

This was a bit of a rugged walk( more what they had in mind...) and deep in the woods...PL1+2 were a bit spooked because there are (as you know) COYOTES around here and they kept feeling like they were being watched......BUT HERE COMES THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE WHOLE WALK.......

What was that you say? Bit of a blurry picture???? THERE WAS A SNAKE...a REAL SNAKE........... Can you see it know???? Archie said he thinks it was a 50 pound rattle snake( he has been reading a lot about reptiles and thinks he is an expert) but PL1 told him it was just a garden snake...... PL2 said she didn't care if it was a garden snake or a python SHE WAS OUT OF THERE....between the coyote eyes and snakes we think she was getting a bit spooked.....

ON IT.............

Maybe it is over here....

We didn't catch him( mainly because we think PL2 would have fainted...... but here is the greatest part( maybe greater than the chipmunks. squirrels coyotes and snakes.....PIZZA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!




AND we got some!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!





AND we are EXHAUSTED( we really do not know why PL2 keeps putting that in there.....) Ahhhhhh there is nothing like spending the whole day with your PLS and walking and getting pizza....... Love and kisses A+A

Ahhh Our Arboretum in Spring

FINALLY!!! IT IS FINALLY HERE!!!! TRA LA LALALALALA SPRING HAS SPRUNG and there is no better place to see it arriving than at our beloved Arboretum !!! Look at the buds coming!!!!!!!

There was a FABULOUS smell coming from here.......

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN....THE FIRST ROACH OF THE SEASON...in this short feature presentation note Archie just standing and enjoying the wind blow through his ears and his poms poms(hee hee couldn't resist...)

Archie was so happy he THREW himself into a sit under this tree and DEMANDED that PL2 take his picture to mark the beginning of spring!

WHOA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE LILACS ARE COMING IN!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!! That means Lilac Sunday will be coming soon!! That is when all the lilacs(and there are a GAZILLION of them here) come into bloom and it is a special day just for them....We can not even begin to tell you how delicious the smell is..As you all know Arch has been working for years on smell ovision so you can smell it,but just can not come up with the right formula.....
As there are a million gazillion people that come on that day we come a little early and have our own day....



My training has been delayed a little as my trainer was a little shall we say under the weather? but here he is picking out a spot for me....

For those of you wondering, the RETAKEOVER of my bomb shelter is coming along nicley..I have dragged my little bed almost totally back under and have put it in an even better position..Stretched out I can touch the top of the bed...This is a great yoga position.... Next will come the gradual reentry of all of MY toys.....

This Monday is Patriots Day in Boston( a special Boston Holiday(don't read this Eric) marking of the beginning of the Revolutionary War...and it is the Boston Marathon,and an 11 am Red Sox Game...WHEWWWW we are going to be busy...AND Toffes Mom and Dad are running in the Marathon and PL2 is making a sign and is going to cheer her on!! ARCHIE HERE!!!!!!!

Hi everyone,,It's me Arch..also know as Gum boy, Pom Pom boy,or of course Arch the Lad... You will all be happy to know that all my tests have come back normal.I must say I don't think I will be doing that again...Plus it is getting harder and harder to surf around here...Check this out.....As my darling sister would say"ARE YOU KIDDING ME????" How can I reach the table behind the coach??

We both happened to have a Vet appointment 2 days after my ahem event......The Vet looked at Aggie and said "Agatha did you show him where the gum was?" hmmpphhhh......... So we have been hanging out....and I have been thinking about things......

AGATHA can you hear me???

Gumming It Up

My brother..........

To say it has been quite the time these past two days is putting it mildly.....

Now we all know my brother is a bit of a goof

And he does silly things at times.... and is a bit naughty.......

But this time he went a little too far...You see he went over to PL2's knapsack...which was on a chair.....ZIPPED UP... and unzipped it... took out the little paper bag....and took out the pack of gum that was in it..ALL WITHOUT KNOCKING OVER THE BOOK BAG......

This is what he took...it is LOADED with horrible stuff ALL OF WHICH IS ABSOLUTE POISON TO DOGS AND CAN REALLY REALLY HARM THEM....
(sorbitol and xylitol which is in sugar free gum dramatically lowers dogs blood sugars and causes liver damage ........and can lead to death)

After the fact.... he said all he really wanted to do was this....

Now once before he did this and when PL2 called the Animal Poison Control Hot line they figured out that that last pack did not have a dangerous dose for him....But not this time....This time they said "He has to go to the Emergency Room RIGHT NOW" We all got very very scared......PL1 stayed with me and PL2 rushed Archie to this place....... She rushed over the EW part where they scooped him up and took him to the back...and left PL2 there and she was kind of crying.......They made him throw up and then they said he had to stay there because they had to monitor his blood sugars and liver function tests and give him an IV..... SO PL2 went into the back to say goodbye to him and told him to be brave without the three of us with him( he gets a little scared by himself) and then she left and cried all the way home.....

We were besides ourselves at home.... PL1 and 2 said I could have as many toys as I wanted to keep my mind occupied.....





All I really played with was this toy( Scruffy gave it Archie and it is one of his favorites..and he never has ripped it apart either...)




But my heart really wasn't in it and I took Archie's other favorite toy(his little chipmunk) into the bed with me.....



It was a long night bu they didn't call us( they said we would only get a call if something was the matter) and in the morning they said that his sugars were fine and that he was eating like a piggie( that's my brother!) and we could pick him up at 3pm.He has to have his liver tests done today and tomorrow and has to be on a liver medicine for a week( It can take up to three days for the liver to be affected......THIS GUM IS BAD BAD STUFF)

So we three went to pick him up...AND HE LOOKED LIKE A SCHNOODLE!!!!!!!

( Archie said he told them that if they had to cut his hair for IV's and blood work then make him look like his friends the Schnoodles We don't have the heart to tell him that those kids really don't wear their hair like that so we are pretending)

He is very tired( he said he didn't sleep because there was a lot of stuff going on in that place ...)

I am very happy he is home and have my paws crossed that all his blood work will keep coming back fine.....

I mean I know I kind of complain once in awhile but the kid does tell a mean joke......

He is just really happy ( as we all are) to be home......


And the PL's have outlawed gum in the house and realize that he is so smart they can't even keep things on chairs..... So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell all of your PL's this is bad bad stuff.....sorbitol and xylitol in any form can kill dogs so BE CAREFUL...... and be aware.......adn tell everyone you know with a dog about it.....
