Another Boston Tour

Hello everyone! We would like to take you on another Boston tour!!We have been having lovely weather this week and have been having a lot of fun!! Last summer we took you to Harvard and MIT.We are going to continue our college tour by going to Boston College(PL1's Alma mater) As you know Boston has 4329 colleges and universities.
We could not believe how green everything was(well maybe 800 days of rain had something to do with that)

This is a pretty walkway in to the college lines with flowers.

Archie was particularly excited about this tour because there was something he really has been wanting to see.....

Here we are outside of the library........

This is St Mary's Chapel.

This is the Law Library..All of the buildings are very Gothic...

This is Gasson Hall with the eagle outside. The eagle is B.C's mascot.......PL2 asked PL1 why but he said he didn't know why....

Now on our travels we came across this.... A FOUNTAIN.. and it was about 80 degrees out....so you can guess what I did...

HA HA HEAD FIRST!!!!!

Here I am tra la la swimming Esther Williams style...tra la la......with my brother up top following me.....now watch what happens in the movie.....

HOO BOY HE FELL IN!!!!!! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.....

oh come Archie i am not laughing at you only with you(NOT)

Look at our chicken legs here! We didn't care we were cooled off.......

Here is the Tip O'Neil( an important Massachewsitts resident)Library.Archie was commenting that there are a lot of libraries here( oh brother...IT IS A COLLEGE)

We came across an alumnae barbecue but it wasn't the right year for PL1 and we didn't want to intrude...but those HOT DOGS sure smelled good....

I thought I would peek in one of the classrooms.......

Archie having watched ALOT of those cooking shows(especially Gordon Ramsey's show....and you thought HBO had a lot of words??!! has decided that once he gets all the recipes down may decide to open a restaurant so he was interested int he school of management.....

A pretty clock...

OH MY GOSH!! THE SCHOOL OF NURSING!(not PL'2s school...she went to the rival school....)

I tried to get in but it was closed.....I need a new stethescope......

Archie saw this and got really excited...just what he needs.. to play video games all day......

Look at the color of these flowers!

This is the Silvio Conte Forum where they play hockey( a big thing in Boston as is baseball, basketball and football!)

Just an interesting aside for the ecologically minded, this is a solar trash compactor that I am investigating........

Here it is ..what Arch was all excited about..The Doug Flutie statue!! He was on the football team and made the most amazing winning pass (called the Hail Mary pass)in football and he went on to be a football player. He is also a wonderful man who does a lot of good charity work for children around here.....

Archie wanted his picture with Doug Flutie and I was telling him where to stand....

And so ends our Boston tour for this week! We hope you are all having marvelous and glorious days !!!!!!

PS PL2 wants to know if anyone is having trouble moving their pictures around on blogger? She said that this took her a long time because she couldn't move the pictures the way she used to. Archie said she should go to one of those librarys........

Our mom is having trouble moving pictures on blogger too! She tries to get them in the right order from the start, but sometimes she has a brain fart and has to move some. It will let her move them, but she can't write comments between them!

Great tour of Boston! Our mom always wanted to go there, but never made it. The closest she ever got was Exeter, New Hamster! It was in the fall, so it was gorgeous!

Have a great Sunday!

What a great tour, A&A! And you certainly cooled off in the water fountain.

WOW! You guys went all over the place. I hope you used your terrier ride to get around and didn't walk from Harvard to BC!

Hey, I used calmer music in my movie today so Archie doesn't have to go cracker dog polka.

Kisses,
Dexter

yup...Bloggie has been a mess with the new release of IE (7,8,??)But then, we have never been good at it, so we just use a few more HBO words and throw up our hands in frustration. WYSIWYG is our rule.

Great Boston Tour! We love campuses! They are great for walkies.

BOTH of my humans went to Boston College! Woohoo!

For Boston, for Boston...

I'd LOVE to go weeble on their collegiate castle. I had to go to camp last year when they returned for a reunion. NOT FAIR! Other people brought their kids! I don't know why I wasn't invited.

I wish I could smell it through my 'puter!

Hey Guys...

I can't believe you were so close to getting a hot dog and didn't go in. PL1 could've pretended it was his year. I was stunned at Agatha's synchronous swimming techniques.. so elegant. And of course, Archie.. if u open a restaurant please invite me to the opening... I can just imagine the menu.

We'll be back when we can focus on the tour, but we wanted to stop by and thank you for the wonderful dances at the reception this weekend. What great fun. And without Moma! (We love her, but it was great to be independent!)

AND you'll be proud to know. Jake's hunting skills are coming right along. All he can think about are lizards when he is outside, and Moma's grip on the leash is having to tighten up! And TODAY he even spotted an... alligator!!!

Look what you've exposed us to!

Exhausted,
Miss Fergi and Jake

Hey A & A,

Woohooo-Summah has come to MA! Had to wait until mid-July-- better late than nevah.

Ooops Arch that was an accident right.. into the water fountain:)At least that's what you want PL1 &2 to think. Ester Williams has nothing on you two-- except 4 a swim cap and noseplug!

Did you know my mom & Norwood's mommie grew up with the former BC football coach, Jago. Got stories to tell about him.... anyways,

thanks for the tour!Talking about chicken legs & hot dogs is making me hungry.

stay cool,
tula

Maybe I could take Archie on as an aprentice. If he is learning to polka and bark like a big dog he sounds like a good student.

Twinnie! Step! What a fabulous tour, my square old head is fit to bursting with knowledge. I loved the gothic buidings, the flowers the fountain (snigger) the pretty clock on the column, the eco trash can and your chicken legs. I try not to go in the water when wearing my kiltie, chicken legs and skirts is not a good look my pupcake says.

And Gordon Ramsay, he's often on telly round here too. Mom doesn't take too much notice of his cooking...is it good Archie? He use them Channel 4 after the watershed words. Lots of them. Really naughty ones.I'll teach you some shall I?

Wiry wags n kisses, Eric xxxxx

PS - stupid blogger. I sometimes cuts and pastes with the code cos it's quicker than draggin...how did you used to do it that's changed?

We have been having a tremendous time moving our pictures around - seems to take forever somedays - and getting them uploaded is a chore too!! Other times it makes a duplicate of a picture that is almost impossible to erase!!

Wonderful tour!! Mom and Dad have been to Boston - maybe someday we'll make it too.

XOXO

Thanks for the great tour Agatha and Archie! I think that your PLs should get you a tour bus so that you can lead dogs and their people all over Boston. You know about all the best places.

That fountain looked like a wonderful place to cool off.

Your friend,
Niamh

Another beautiful tour - and thanks for this one - we miss being 45 minutes outside of Boston. I feel a little homesick. :)

Hey a and a,

I had to come back to see your chicken legs.. they make my stomach growl.. you don't happen to wear hot sauce do you?

anyways, we don't go to the cape too often either but we left at 6am on a Sunday.. smooth sailing no traffic at all and we found a nice beach parking area to park for free before the attendant came. It pays to be an earlier bird sometimes. Plus we cruised through the farmers market in woods hole.. not many people yet.

HMMM...blogger...movin' pix? Mumsie HAS NEVER BEEN ABLE TO DO IT WITHOUT WANTING TO GO JUMP OFF ONE OF OUR MANY BRIDGES...

So we hafta load em one at a time backwards...and for an old lady like Mumsie, sometimes she gets em right and sometimes she totally screws em uppie...

Ya know the whole Boston College thing is a little odd for her. She applied there and didn't get in. So she went to Duke...

Hundreds of years later when she and our uncle were cleanin' out our granddad's house, she found an acceptance letter from BC in his desk...'cept he never gave it um to her...

So the mystery is why? She knows he thought Boston was waaaaay to big and scary for her...but um well...hmm....she wonders what she woulda done...probably frozen to death up there...gotta admit NC in February is pretty fabbers....

Now Archie...so ya fell in the fountain...at least your back end stayed up when ya swam back to the side...mine sorta stinks..er sinks...no...I bathe regularly. Sheeshch.....
I had a divine time with you at the wedding when I WASN'T LASHED TO THE MAST. And you didn't untie me why???

Your loving Lakeland....Lac

Pee ess...Scruffy here...

OH MY AGGIE....seein' ya dance the Highland fling was amazing....hot hot hot!!!!
