TOFFEE RULES and a fabulous day

Sometimes you have a day that is unlike any other and this was one of them..It all started this morning when PL2 said lets go it's going to rain later so we better hurry up and go to OUR ARBORETUM....so off we went..... Here we are arriving at the front gate....

So we did our usual things.. a little of this......

A little of this(Archie has his whole head in there....)

Some of this.......

Looked around........

Went into the woods...

Of course did this...I started choking at the end of this so PL2 turned the movie off....I just got some stuff down my throat but PL2 thought I was having a respiratory attack of some sorts..humans...

Then PL2 said Hey,we have to go to the Pet Cabaret and pick up something THAT TOFFE left you!!! WHAT we screamed.....YOU ARE KIDDING!!!!! and off we went....So we shopped around a little for some things(to see the purchases you will have to keep reading)we also had to do a lot of sit stays because the girls have a new CAT there who is a little bold, and well, you know how I,Aggie feel about them(sorry all of you cats out there) and there was a black lab there who grrrrrred at Archie and well you know what happens when you grrrrrr at a terrier, esp my brother) so we sat, and we stayed... and then Lisa said to PL2 as she checked out....here is a present for Archie and Agatha from Toffee!!!!!!!

Look at the ribbon!! OMD!! It is paw prints!!!!!

I tried to investigate myself .........

But then realized I needed the help of Archie to help me open up this package....

It was too hard so we asked PL2 to help us while we waited....

Ha ha!! PL2 and I laughed but as you can see,Archie did not.....

OMD.........................REAL SWEET POTATO CHEWS!!!! Like what we used to get before PL2 got the dehydrator!!!!!!!!!!

Archie got so excited he was trying to rip open the bag........

BUT THAT WAS NOT ALL THAT WAS IN THE BAG! There was this lemming!!! Now we don't really know what a lemming is but I thought it REALLY looked like those kids in the cage at the end of the tunnel at my Earthdog day.........

I immediately took my toy,I mean our toy to where everyone?????? MY BOMB SHELTER!!!!!

But before I took my, I mean our toy to my bomb shelter I took it on top of the bomb shelter to play with it a little, while Archie took one of the new toys that PL2 got and was playing with that. I "dropped"Leonard the Lemming on the floor and it landed right by Archie and his toy and well....you can imagine the rest....Leonard is temporarily on top of the frig for the moment.....

If that was not enough look at what else we got .PL2 had bought all these toys for us before we opened Toffe's package!!!.......... Archie got this lambie....(on top of the frig for the moment)....

I got A SOCK MONKEY!!!!! Just like Sophie has!!!(only a wee bit smaller)I haven't played with this yet....

Ha! What is that thing coming out of his mouth!!!!

As for treats we got the new cranberry turkey Charlie Bears. We highly recommend these..

And check these out!! Bison bones( we are not sure what a bison is but it looks like the marrow bones we get..so it will be good...)

So it has been an unbelievable day.We are going to take a little nap in our crates now because we are exhausted from all of the excitement of the day...We would like to leave you with this last photo.....It is of the sweet potato that Toffe got us and one of PL's ..You guess which is which....

(PL2 here,in my own defense I am getting better at it despite what those 2 say..I am even taking a fork and putting in the ridges to please these two nudnicks.I tried carrots but that was a bust...but like Sam's PL says you gota keep trying till you get it right!!)

A BIG MUAH TO TOFFE AND THANKYOU!!!!!!! A+A

Poor Archie looks so miserable with the ribbon on his head. You guys really cleaned up! Plus it didn't even rain after all, but maybe you should tell your mom its going to rain every day so you can go to your abor eat 'em.

So glad that you liked your goodies...the Lemming kinda looked like a rat so I thought that would help for JE...until I can catch you a real one!

re: poem - I had heard that it was a Native Indian poem too. In a recent search on the poem the article said 'anonymous' but mostly attributed to Martha Frye - could she have been native American Indian? Sounds more British...hmm...

That is so sad about Sen Kennedy = (

p.s. Nunzio the N End rat says "sniff sniff"

...I forgot to ask if your PLs have a "mandolin" slicer...that will slice those sweet taters up with the nice ridges I think...but I don't know because we do not have one...

Jackson's J1 and J2 said...

Oh my, that's pawsome! How nice of Toffee to send you all that stuff. J1 is still laughing at the double roach at the park (not the choking bit, obviously). Do you always do it in tandem like that? J x

It sounds like you both have the best day ever every day! Maybe I ought to bring Larry the Lobster and Eli/Elli/Stripes the Eel and move to Boston where it looks like all the fun stuff happens! Hehe!

Toffee was sure nice to leave you some presents! Also, speaking of presents, my human has you all signed up for the International Goody Exchange!

Slurp!

We know you probably read the actual Boston Globe, but we get an e-mail on line every morning -- and, hearing that Mike Lowell hit a grand slam last night, we turned to the sports article and found this, which made us grin from ear to ear to ear.....

"The next thing you know, Lowell will be hitting for the cycle.

"Never," the third baseman said after hitting a single, double, and home run, the third time this month, the seventh time in three seasons with the Sox, and the 14th time in his career he has come within a hit of the cycle.

"I can't hit a triple," Lowell lamented. "I need two outfielders to run into each other and they both have to be on stretchers as the third outfielder throws home while I'm sliding headfirst into third."

What a cool guy. We read his book -- very "baseball guy," with a memory for every play he ever made -- but fun. Especially since he talks a bit about what it was like here when he was a Marlin.

Jake and Just Harry (we don't get it, but Mom and Dogdad do!!)
