An Idita Walk in the Mud

As you all know we signed up to walk the Idita Walk(see here to find out more  http://www.idita-walk.com/idw/Index.asp) This isn't hard for us at all as we walk a lot,most of the days, unless it is snowing, or raining a lot, or plows happen to go by.......... But today was a gorgeous spring day(Aggie darling,PL2 here....Uhmmm it is 34 degrees out today..just saying)  As I, AGATHA was saying my brother and I decided to take a walk on this lovely spring day. Here is a short video of us doing the Idita Walk together

What I had been doing prior to our walk was thinking of what we should do today.....

My brother had had OTHER ideas(this is a box of peanut butter cookies that was ON THE TABLE.PL2 heard a bit of a crash and found this box a little chewed.He was having some trouble getting into the box.... WHAT IS IT WITH HIM AND PEANUT BUTTER??

That is when I thought we should go on a walk..... to see this...THE PART OF WINTER WE HATE THE MOST>>THE DIRTY SNOW

Archie wanted to park here(that sign  was there because the snow was so high and it had been halfway into the street!)

Then there is always this......MUD

AND there is always ONE dog who always goes right for it...right Arch/

and of course one who does not

This is a very top secret alley that we go down but haven't been able because it was a sheet of ice..It still must be bad because we didn't go down

THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE..THIS IS OUR BASKETBALL BALL COURT THEY HAVE DUMPED OFF EXTRA SNOW HERE HOW ARE WE GOING TO PLAY???

hee hee even we look white next to this(we are just FLUFFY not fat cuz we have all our winter hair still)

LOOK WHO WE SAW!! MR MOCKINGBIRD!! we love this kid because he really has quite a repertoire of songs...

And this is how I know it is spring Because we have more flowers next to the one that was there.......... IT HAS TO BE HERE!!!!!

STILL WAITING BUT WE SAW A SIGN!!!!

So a million months ago( well Sept to be exact) PL2 planted lots of these and daffodils by a tree that is in  the front of our house. She had a few left and she remembered something that her favorite gardener Alan Titchmarsh once said which was to layer extras in a pot and bring it inside....... Then they will come up earlier than spring to treat you and give you hope!!!!!!!!!! .LOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Now yesterday and today it has been warm and the snow is starting to melt a little......

Archie wanted a closer look........

He was amazed...

He asked PL2 how that happened....

Then he sat down to think about it......(he looks very fluffy because we just had a bath yesterday)

He brought it over to me to inspect

HA HAHAHAHAH it looks like I am trying to eat it!! (nooo just smell it...)

They say it is going to be FREEZING here tomorrow and it is going to last for awhile.. I am going back to wait.........

Waiting for spring

So imagine our surprise when yesterday it was 45 degrees out! WHOA!!!!!!!!!!!! PL2 grabbed our leashes and off we went..........only there was one small problem..IT WAS MUDLAND...ok we didn't care it was nice out and today we are going to get baths( so we can look  nice while we watch the terriers on the Westminster Dog Show tonite) and then BOOM...today it is 20 degrees again and freezing and windy..... so we will wait...... it is on its way............

Archie says he doesn't know how much longer he can wait....

Even staring out the window doesn't bring it faster

So what is left???

Dreaming of swimming and squirrel hunting and ice cream

IT'S ALMOST HERE!!!!!!!!!!! RED SOX NATION WAKING UP!!!!

Sooooooooo deep here in the tundra we see a little opening.. a peek into what is in the somewhat near future... something that can take us out of our snow doldrum and wake us up... it happens every year and it is here again........

THE RED SOX TRUCK HAS LEFT FENWAY PARK FOR FLORIDA AND PITCHERS AND CATCHERS ARE DUE TO REPORT THIS MONDAY!!! WOOHOOOOOOOO BASEBALL SEASON IS ON ITS WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now these are very old but they are PL2s favorite.. and she is also having a wee bit of trouble with her new toy Photoshop(ahhh she can't even figure the easy stuff.. and she got a book Photoshop for dummies but I think it is too advanced for her. Archie wants to help her.. but...... who knows what the heck could happen.. I of course know it perfectly but I am too busy  doing Red Sox Stuff....

TWENTY INCHES? ARE YOU KIDDING ME????

Hello everyone..Agatha here to tell you  about our weather. Now this was supposed to be a post about what we did after last weeks MAJOR storm..which I will do.however right now at this minute while I am typing WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF ANOTHER ONE.. the stupid TV weathermen are all saying it is a one two punch.. which means 10 inches today and ten inches tommorow. You can imagine what this is doing to my brother. At the moment he is fine because the plows haven't come out yet.In preparation he has his paws up and is sipping one of Lacie's extra power smoothies and he is talking to Mango on my cell phone..... Arch says he is going to give someone a one two punch...

Daunting isn't it? WHERE ARE THEY GOING TO PUT TWENTY MORE INCHES? sorry...got a little carried away

IF YOU ARE ONLY A FEW INCHES OFF OF THE GROUND HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO FIND SOMEWHERE TO GO TO THE BATHROOM(especially if you are a little picky like I am) AND WHAT AM I GOING TO DO NOW??WITH TWENTY MORE INCHES?

SO last week Pl1 said I have a good idea. We need to burn off some NEGATIVE energy right Ags? So we went to the place that calms all of us the most Our Arboretum.....

There was quite a bit of snow but we didn't care because we were in our Arboretum

Archie even thought he might try to roll in the snow(either that or he had something caught in his beard)
