An A+A Friday

So it is the day after Thanksgiving and we are EXHAUSTED.. really it takes it out of you eating like that.. PL2 had to work but everyone at work brought a dish in so they had a good spread and PL1 went over to the rest of the family... That left Archie and me at home... Now PL1 left the TV on so we could watch the Patriots  football game, and he left on the radio , so we could listen to the football game.... and Archie? Well you know he loves his cooking shows and he thought it would be a perfect time to try out new recipes.. on me.. before he tries them out on any one else.. and really it was pretty good. His top dish( well in my mind anyway) was his Surprise Stuffie dessert. This looked like a stuffie(  you could almost hear it squeaking) but inside it was a baked Alaska.. Really he out did himself.. So after all that cooking and eating and football we decided to spend a quiet day today... So this is what we did....

I started out by taking a little nap on the window sill and checking on the work men outside( they did a great job)

I really had to pay attention to the workers so Archie decided he would help PL2 make the bed...

And we ended the day by trying out some line dancing....(don't look on the top of my crate, it is miles and miles of papers I put together for Berties next class..)

Very exhausting all that eating and watching football. You were probably too tired to do any shopping. Hope you two have recovered from Thanksgiving.

Archie we can foresee you will earn a Michelin star very soon!

You are becoming very studious, the pile of papers for Bertie's next class is amazing.

You know, normally, it would be a bad day to have sickies right on Thanksgiving, but with your PL2 there to take care of everybody I bet things went OK.

Your Stuffed Stuffie sounds just grand. All the basic food groups.

Wow. The more I read about it the more this Thanksgiving thing you have in the States really does sound exhausting. But how fabulous that Archie is such a fine cook. I wonder if he could post the recipe for Stuffie Baked Alaska some time?
Oh and I am so impressed by al those papers on your crate...
Toodle pip!

Stuffie Surprise -- sounds special!!! We think Arche should apply to be a contestant on the Next Food Network Star show. He could have his own Cooking for Dogs show --something that is sorely missing on TV, right?

Wirey woofs,

Jake and Just Harry

(Tell your mom not to worry -- no WFTs in the book -- just a live Fox in one and a boy named Bertie in the other.)

Talk about STUFFED! We've had to redesignate (isn't that a word??? blogger is trying to tell us we're making words up ... it's true ... Grumpy Bobby is expanding our vocabulary ... but we thought this was a for-real word) portions of the bed. It takes some major stretching out after as much as we've been eating. And we didn't even have Baked Stuffied Alaska.

Tell Archie next time we'll help be taste testers. Or bowl lickers. Or recipe readers. Whatever. We're just pretty sure we'd like to try some of that special treat.

xxoo
