What we did on New Years Day (at the beach)

Well here it is New Years Day...We had a very big day planned.......Noooooooo we didn't go to the Boston Bruins hockey game OUTSIDE at FENWAY PARK..which has to be the coolest thing in the world......It was a BIG deal here in Boston because it was the first time a hockey game was being played outside..and not only outside BUT AT FENWAY PARK.PL2 would not stop talking about it......We did hear the F16 fly over the house, but that was as close as it got..We watched it on TV after our big adventure........

PL2 threw this picture in of her idol Bobby Orr...He is a famous hockey player from about twelve million years ago ....that she loves...HE WAS THERE!!!!!!

Nope what we did was meet up with our cousin Seamus...Remember him? The Irish Jack Russel kid????And we all met up at the beach.......Archie was sooooo excited.....He kept looking up and down the beach for him....

In between looking up and down for our cousin we were smelling clam shells( somehow we would like to bottle this smell..it is FABULOUS..)

And then Archie saw him......

TA DA!!! Our cousin Seamus...now a big boy at one year old......

This kid is a little ball obsessed......

LOOK!!! HE IS FLYING IN THE AIR TO HOLD ONTO THAT BALL!!!!

Uhhhhmmmmm...here is Archie checking out Seamus's ball...(noooo he did not get it...)

Nooooo he still didn't get it.......

Here are the two of them having a little male bonding time.......

I had other stuff to do........

Then we all had a little snack together.......

Before all of our PL's went to make pigs of themselves....Excuse I mean went to get lunch...........( roast beef sandwiches, onion rings and french fries....GEESH didn't I hear something about a resolution and healthy eating and weight loss and how long did that last? one nano second??? AGATHAAAAAAA

ooopppppsss ha ha Only kidding there Pl2..ha ha just a little joke and stuff......Here is Seamus getting into his car......

And we were in front of his his car.....

I will say that we got some roast beef( without the stupid special sauce,do you have any idea how DRY roast beef can be?? Oh wait I almost forgot..and a stinking piece of bread.....Oh big deal.....AND NO FRENCH FRIES WITH THAT.......... I didn't make a resolution like she did........and I can eat anything and stay svelte and trim and..........AGATHAAAAAAA........

Well anyway that is how we spent our day today.....Hope you all had a good time too!!!!

You guys had a real fun day today. Going to the beach, seeing your cousin Shamus, having roast beef, and being near where they were playing outside hockey sure made for a super beginning to the new year. Way to go!

Have a healthy, happy, and prosperous 2010!

The beach, snow and your cousin. That looks like a pretty fun day to us. Roast beast, even when dry is pretty good. Glad you had a fun day even if the PLs hogged most of the good food.

Your friends,

What a great first day of the year! We watched the hockey game from PJ's house, and we've a feeling Moma and our Girl had it on wherever they were, too. We know they were talking aboutcha, being in Boston and all.

But the BEACH!? We were there only long enough to paw a message. It looks like YOU had a great time and now we are REALLY hoping that next year we get to go to Florida for the holidays. What great fun. Especially with a cousin like Seamus to romp with. (He's a cutie.)

Gotta run. We've got some business to attend to before our people get back home...

Wow - that looks like a great day (although I think an onion ring could have been shared?) Great Hockey game - it looks cold though - so we would have watched it on TV too!

Seamus looks cute - I think he enjoyed his ball game!

You went to the beach? Too bad you didn't catch those nutty humans who go swimming in the harbor every year.

Fenway Park in January, when will the madness end?

Oh boy that kind of fooled me for a bit. Who ever heard of SNOW on a beach? But meeting up with cousin Seamus looked well wicked even if it was in the snow. Did you make it as yellow as the sand? He's a handsome doggie that Seamus. Better keep him away from Lacie Archie...

Wiry loves and a squillion kisses Eric xxxx

Happee New Year pals!
Looks like you had a great time at the beach with your cuz. Wow! I cannot believe how big he's gotten. Do you think that they might want ANOTHER JRT? I know a very "special" one named Riley...(no mom I'm not doing anything).

That Bruins game was totally cool! Mom and dad watched it in Canada from the west coast. Totally awesome.

Looking forward to seeing you soon?

Please tell PL1&2 that Ms. Alpha does not believe the new year starts until tomorrow, Monday morning. You can't knuckle down to resolutions over a long weekend...especially when the temps are arctic! So tell 'em to gorge on the rings and fries!

We all watched the hockey game and Mr. Alpha was in awe seeing Bobby Orr, though he shuddered at seeing him shake detestable Bobby Clarke's hand. What a game, huh? All the youth leagues are using the rink, so maybe your Alphas can get to see it.

Oh, and most importantly, we all watched The Thin Man movies on Christmas night in your honor. We love the opening scene when Asta enters, straining on his leash like a pro sled dog!

Your pal,
Fenway

That Seamus looks like a lot of fun even though he didn't like to share his ball. Was the beach cold? It looked like some snow was scattered here and there. It would be nice to dig in some sand, though. Looks like you guys had a great time. :)

Never can remember the diff...
