A Sad Day in Massachewsitts

It is a very sad day in Massachewsitts as our beloved Senator Kennedy has died.
It is not only a great loss for us but for all Americans....

Sad day for all of us...he was a great man who understood the true meaning of politics.

We think the flag is a nice touch.

It's not just Massachewsitts -- although it has to be sadder there than anywhere because he lived and breathed Boston air - it's for all of us.

Mom has had tears in her eyes all day and an ache in her heart.

She's had the TV on in every room so she could hear all the reminiscenses and the commentary. So far, it was Joe Biden who captured him best.

We decided that the reason Teddy was so much larger than life is because he embodied all the unfulfilled dreams of his two brothers as well as his own passions.

And he loved the Red Sox.

And dogs.

Sad woofs of commiseration

Even though we knew he was gravely ill, we were still shocked at the news of his passing.

We've been sad all day. We woke up to the flag at half staff at "our firehouse", in the shadow of the sunrise. Moma has been telling us that Ted Kennedy left a legal legacy that spans decades and touches every major area of the law. He was proud of what he stood for and was not afraid to express it. We like to embrace that way of living life and making a difference. He'll be missed. Sorely. (Thank you for the very special tribute.)

A sad day this side of the pond too, what a great man. We can imagine your heartache at the loss - end of an era I guess. Very sad.

It's a very sad day here too. Senator Kennedy had three Portuguese Water Dogs that he loved very much and took everywhere with him. He was a great ambassador for our breed and we will miss him.

We know your sadness over here in Michigan. Our momma was a social worker and she knows alla' the wonderful things Mr. Kennedy did for the poor.

Ciao, A+A --

It's such awful news about Senator Kennedy. We knew it was coming, but we still were very upset when it actually happened. Our hearts go out to his family, and to everyone in Massachusetts.
