Another Boston Tour

Hello everyone! We would like to take you on another Boston tour!!We have been having lovely weather this week and have been having a lot of fun!! Last summer we took you to Harvard and MIT.We are going to continue our college tour by going to Boston College(PL1's Alma mater) As you know Boston has 4329 colleges and universities.
We could not believe how green everything was(well maybe 800 days of rain had something to do with that)

This is a pretty walkway in to the college lines with flowers.

Archie was particularly excited about this tour because there was something he really has been wanting to see.....

Here we are outside of the library........

This is St Mary's Chapel.

This is the Law Library..All of the buildings are very Gothic...

This is Gasson Hall with the eagle outside.The eagle is B.C's mascot.......PL2 asked PL1 why but he said he didn't know why....

Now on our travels we came across this.... A FOUNTAIN.. and it was about 80 degrees out....so you can guess what I did...

HA HA HEAD FIRST!!!!!

Here I am tra la la swimming Esther Williams style...tra la la......with my brother up top following me.....now watch what happens in the movie.....

Look at our chicken legs here! We didn't care we were cooled off.......

Here is the Tip O'Neil( an important Massachewsitts resident)Library.Archie was commenting that there are a lot of libraries here( oh brother...IT IS A COLLEGE)

We came across an alumnae barbecue but it wasn't the right year for PL1 and we didn't want to intrude...but those HOT DOGS sure smelled good....

I thought I would peek in one of the classrooms.......

Archie having watched ALOT of those cooking shows(especially Gordon Ramsey's show....and you thought HBO had a lot of words??!! has decided that once he gets all the recipes down may decide to open a restaurant so he was interested int he school of management.....

OH MY GOSH!! THE SCHOOL OF NURSING!(not PL'2s school...she went to the rival school....)

I tried to get in but it was closed.....I need a new stethescope......

Archie saw this and got really excited...just what he needs.. to play video games all day......

Look at the color of these flowers!

This is the Silvio Conte Forum where they play hockey( a big thing in Boston as is baseball, basketball and football!)

Just an interesting aside for the ecologically minded, this is a solar trash compactor that I am investigating........

Here it is ..what Arch was all excited about..The Doug Flutie statue!! He was on the football team and made the most amazing winning pass (called the Hail Mary pass)in football and he went on to be a football player.He is also a wonderful man who does a lot of good charity work for children around here.....

Archie wanted his picture with Doug Flutie and I was telling him where to stand....

And so ends our Boston tour for this week! We hope you are all having marvelous and glorious days !!!!!!

PS PL2 wants to know if anyone is having trouble moving their pictures around on blogger? She said that this took her a long time because she couldn't move the pictures the way she used to. Archie said she should go to one of those librarys........

THE SUN!! COME ON LET'S GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well,FINALLY we have had a few days of good weather!! Now this is going to be a longer post because it seems like YEARS since we have been outside!! So sit back, we have lots of movies, and join us at our walk with PL1(PL2 had to work and was really bummed she couldn't come) at the Chesnut Hill Reservoir!! This used to be a working reservoir, but then it stopped being a reservoir and they have just finished making it into a lovely walking area.We were SO excited to be outside that it might seem like we are walking a bit fast in the first movie and actually we are..... I kept saying COME ON LETS GO!!!!!!!

Here we are outside the fence.Archie can't believe what a nice job they have done(you don't know what I had to do to drag him away from his cooking show on TV, He said he was learning how to make cream puffs.....this is a phase that better stop soon....)

I thought it looked pretty good myself........


We found a map and of course I took charge....

I was a little sad we couldn't go swimming but PL1 said it was a little too deep for us......

These swan kids came out of no where..and they came RIGHT over to us!!!!

This particular kid was trash talking to Archie.......



He called me over for back up and this kid decided two against one wasn't a good deal(smart move...)

Now this was on our way to the reservoir but PL2 is having a hard time moving pictures on blogger so it is down here..Of note in this film there is a demonstration of synchronized peeing....

PL1 found this....... Check out what kind of dog they use!!!!

He felt obligated to take one......

This is on one side of the reservoir... It was a Water Works building and now????Yep condos...





This was also a part of the water works( where the pumps were) and now we think there may be a museum inside.....

And then........what happened???????WATCH CLOSELY......a CHIPMUNK darted in front of us( please note who is doing the lead on this investigative hunt and who is just sort of hanging around.......) Well it really was a job for a Junior Earthdog.

On the other side of the reservoir is Boston College..that is the football stadium..This is a big thing in Massachewsitts....where Doug Flutie went to college.He made that famous Hail Mary pass........) We will have to have a tour of B.C. one day.....

Now in our next film we would like you to note the 8000 geese that are hanging around..Now usually Archie goes NUTSO with them around,but not today. Why you might ask?The wind was blowing his ears straight up and he said he was enjoying himself.......We are hoping we have good weather this weekend so we can have some more walks in the fabulous sun!! We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!! (Archie is hoping his TV show will be repeated so he can see how to put the filling in the puff...)

ARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGG...more rain

So we had two days of the most beautifull sun....PL1 and 2 went to the big fireworks and said it was the best they ever saw( we were uhmmmmm in the bedroom with the air conditioner on and the radio on loud and we had a few cocktails if you know what I mean.....have a bit of a fear of the old fireworks....) and we slept through it.....Then we played outside all weekend and went for a gazillion walks( to make up for the entire month of June being rainy.) Then we woke up today and noticed IT WAS RAINING AGAIN.... I mean think of it....us,and Mango and Pee Wee and Toffe and Riley and Tula and Norwood ALL SHUT INS.....

It's too much for a dog to even contemplate...we are running out of indoor game ideas...Archie is even thinking of taking up being a chef as he has been watching so many cooking shows on TV....

HAPPY HOLIDAY EVERYONE!!!!!

It is sunny(for the moment) and it is a holiday and we are going to have hot dogs!!(we hope) The only part that may be dicey is the fireworks part but I am telling Archie what we are going to do when they go off......Have fun everyone!!!

MORE RAIN and we can't take it anymore........

We don't know aobut where you live but it has rained here for the last one million days.... They say it is the worst ever....don't we know it.....Things were so bad we even got a bath on one of the days.........Can you see the rain on the window????

I mean really what is there to do besides this??????

We do do this alot ,but Arch wasn't really into it here...

And of course there is this.......but how many times can you play this??????? ( the name of this game is I am pretending to take a nap in the bomb shelter and get Arch mad and he makes a sneek attack and then we go zoomies around the house and then you collapse....)

We think we may have just seen a ray of sun so we need to fly outside...HAPPY JULY 4th to al those who celebrate it! We are going to eat hot dogs( THANKYOU NORWOOD for this great invention) and hambergs and chicken wings......)
